We are one of the few fully approved Velux installers in the northwest, which also makes us unique amongst Lancaster builders . We have had to meet a range of requirements and demonstrate that our work is up to an exceptionally high ongoing standard.
Customers had a poorly fitted velux, so we replaced and refitted with a new window. Constructed a new timber frame, fitted new insulation and plaster boarded to fit correctly then skim finished.
Customers roof began to bow due to rotten joists caused by a hole in the felt, so we refurbished the entire roof using new breathable membrane type felt and treated timber. Also used weather treated plywood for the underneath ceiling.
Customer wanted access to their loft so we installed a folding wooden loft ladder complete with loft hatch.
Customer had a leak on the shower valve. We replaced the valve and then re tiled the end wall and replaced the bath screen.
Customer wanted us to bring in light over their stairs. We installed a Velux window and vaulted it to bring in the natural light.
Customer wanted us to replace there old existing Velux windows for a larger newer version of windows, so they could have more light into the upstairs bedrooms. After installing the windows we then re plaster boarded the reveals which the customer is going to re decorate and wallpaper.
Customer originally had a bath which they wanted changing into a shower cubicle, As the bath wasn't practical for them anymore. The toilet room was finished and prepared for the customer to wallpaper.
Customer wanted us to redesign there bathroom as it wasn't practical being an ensuite. We blocked one door way up which was in the bedroom and made a new opening on the landing.
Customer wanted a larger bathroom so we knocked through into the toilet room and blocked up the doorway. New tiling, vinyl flooring and complete bathroom suite now fitted.
Customer had an unsupported bathroom floor, we contacted a structural engineer who advised us to put a prop in to support the floor.
Customer wanted us to knock out the fireplace and make good, so they could have an electric fire put back in.
We totally refurbished this dark kitchen to bring in more light and extra storage as per the customers design with Howdens units.
